Double card made from my persian painting called "Saadi's Gift"
The image is an ORIGINAL creation, not an old Persian painting copy.
17 x 12 cm
Each card is wrapped in a cellophane and comes with an envelope.
This painting was inspired by a passage of one of Jami's "masnavi" (Rosary of the pious). One night, the famous poet Saadi writes a verse in praise of God. A gnostic, troubled in his belief in the divine, dreams that a group of angels are coming down from heaven and carrying coins of light. The gnostic asks the heavenly spirits where they are going, and they reply that Saadi has writen a new verse to God and that they are taking a gift from heaven to him.
Gouache, watercolor and ink on paper previously tea dyed
This painting made part of group exhibition in Teheran, in 2014, at The Teheran National Arts Museum. It was a tribute to my Master Abbâs Moayeri, to exhibit his work and his students ones
